The Epibubba is a new canal through Queensland to be used for channelling fresh water from water storage collection areas in the high rainfall region to the south heading towards the Darling River. Epibubba is aboriginal for fresh water stream. The canal runs right through the state on the contour from 300m above sea level downhill to about 150 m and then spills out to the Darling water channel. Epibubba runs with a gradual fall across the state allowing for water control, management of water and if created large enough may allow tourist boats to ply from north to south and back.
The Epibubba is all new and would be created with irrigation areas set up as share farms to allow the inclusion of present landholders. These would be in appropriate areas and include various planned crop groups. Include tourist groups with living development in nodes along the Epibubba. This is the greatest proposed development in Queensland. 95% are new operations and the biggest regional development in Australia with the surplus water passed on to the Darling system. This development will assist not only Queensland., but the entire Darling system. The Epibubba could flow to St George as there is now infrastructure to handle water and pass it on to NSW. St George is 150 m above sea level.
The workers are all helped by a job trainer…many people coming from no or very little experience ..the programme is to educate everybody helping redundant city people.
The complete river project is to educate at every point, from those the in the water collection areas to the river construction to the completed irrigation areas and the populated pods down the river with river boats tourist inclusion powered by electricity – the product of the water accumulation area which provides power for the complete project. This could require the complete Epibubba to have a following conjute to take both power and internet .If possible the stream created could be lined with plastic lining created from plastic waste from capital cities if found suitable.
The Epibubba project is the greatest project since the Snowy River project. and includes hydro power production included with the water collection program, with a series of dams to harvest the water. If any tunnels are needed to redirect the water there is expertise available in Sydney.
The Epibubba project is run as a job teacher exercise where the project is divided into sections starting with the water accumulation area. Treat this is a major infrastructure project to improve the position of many Australians after COVID 19 , and set up a beautiful future in regional Australia.
The water accumulation area is run by University engineers who are to work out the best result have for the water development while maintaining a good flow to the present outlets. They could employ 1 apprentice to 2 engineers, what a chance for the young in Queensland.
The tourist development could include the possibility of 2 or 4 passenger electric paddle boats . These would be recharged daily at population pods conveniently placed on the barka or river to overnight and allow maintenance and recharging. These pods could also have a covered roof which could have solar panels to supplement the power supply. The paddle boats when they reached St George would be loaded on transporters and sent back to Hughenden or the agreed commencement of the Epibubba for a new holiday adventure.
Pods at required intervals would have a bridge and water control facilities, that would ensure the flow was regulated.
The Epibubba would create a new biodiversity based on what is expected of a dryland stream. Frogs, fish and many other animals would be created or assisted to participate. To support the koala program in Australia then an avenue of suitable trees would be planted on either side of the Epibubba to have a complete trail of koalas through Queensland.

The CO2 production of the Epibubba Barka when completed can be set to negative and when you study this chart you can see how the end result for the barrier reef can have no effect. If those who worry about the climate effect on the barrier reef should look at China.
